Known as “Mama Mintz” to many, Mrs. Gitty Mintz is the guiding force behind the Girls’ DiscoverU program. With her genuine care and thoughtful advice, she empowers the girls to make meaningful choices for life — and gives them a great two weeks while she’s at it!
Mrs. Daniella Benji
Shteigers Office Coordinator
Daniella is the engine behind the scenes of the Shteigers program, managing everything from applications to technical details while keeping things running seamlessly. With her organizational flair and warmth, she creates a welcoming space for all participants.
Rabbi Yaakov Samuels
DiscoverU Program Director
Yaakov leads ChillZone Jerusalem, helps organize the iconic Dead Sea Shabbaton, and directs the programming of DiscoverU, making him a cornerstone of the Shteigers experience. Think big brother, mentor, and coach — all rolled into one.

Rabbi Rafi runs the Boys DiscoverU program with his signature down-to-earth style and genuine care. He’s the man who makes growth, inspiration, and connection feel natural, helping each participant discover their strengths.

A Queens College alum and student of Yeshivas Ohr Hachaim, Yoseph has spent years inspiring students. Now as a mashpia in Oorah's DiscoverU program, he’s dedicated to helping young men connect to their Jewish identity.

Mimi Yaffe keeps things real (and fun!) at DiscoverU, sharing her love for teaching, exercise, and making hashkafa click. Between her classes, hosting her podcast (Looking Inward), and life in Cedarhurst with her family, she’s all about guiding her girls with warmth and a touch of fun.
